SPANISH NITE GALA 2017 (SOLD OUT)
A special thank you to MODERN NISSAN for being our Naming Sponsor again for Spanish Nite! This year the Hispanic League will present 41 scholarships to extraordinary scholars. Including 2017's awards, the Hispanic League will have officially awarded a total of 370 scholarships for a total of over $800,000 since the year 2000.
The program includes Keynote speaker, and 1st Hispanic League Board President, Julio Barea. The program also includes: an awards ceremony, Hanesbrands Leadership award presentation, and a Decade of Dedication award presentation. Approximately around 9:00 p.m. the program will conclude and West End Mambo will take the stage. Joining West End Mambo are DJ JV and DJ Manny to keep the music flowing and bodies moving all night long until 1:00 a.m. at "Late Nite at Spanish Nite".

SPANISH NITE GALA 2016 RECAP
This year the Hispanic League presented a record setting 42 scholarships to deserving scholars. Including 2016's awards, the Hispanic League has officially awarded a total of 328 scholarships for a total of over $700,000 since the year 2000.
The program included a delicious cuisine inspired by traditional Puerto Rican, Dominican Republic, and Colombian dishes. Keynote speaker and author, Juan A. Rios Vega Ph.D. did a great job expressing the importance of striving to achieve more and pursuing higher education. The program also included: an awards ceremony, Hanesbrands Leadership award presentation, and a Decade of Dedication award presentation. Approximately around 9:00 p.m. the program will ended and Latin Clave Band took the stage. Latin Clave Band and DJ Diego kept the tempo going all night long as guests danced until 1:00 a.m. at "Late Nite at Spanish Nite". Needless to say this was an extraordinary evening!
The Decade of Dedication Award is presented to those Sponsors who have provided scholarships for 10 years. Congratulations to this year’s recipient: YMCA of Northwest North Carolina. They believe in Hispanic/Latino students and understand that a scholarship both opens the door to continuing education and provides an opportunity for recipients to serve as examples to other Hispanic youth to pursue a higher education. Thank you for helping these students achieve their dreams.
It is with great pride and pleasure that the Hispanic League in coordination with Hanesbrands, Inc., presents this prestigious award to Reverend Francis Rivers Meza. Francis is a collaborator, a passionate advocate and invaluable voice for the Hispanic/Latino community. Born in Mexico City he moved to the United States with his parents when he was two years old, growing up in the Carolinas. The HanesBrand, Inc. Hispanic Leadership award honors a person, group, or organization that has made substantial contributions through their leadership to our Hispanic/Latino community in the Forsyth County area. This award recognizes a leader for a specific accomplishment or for lifetime achievements.
