Characterized by their "pan-Latin" new tango blend, the Lorena Guillen Tango Ensemble has presented its music at various stages; Kleinhans Hall (Buffalo, NY), Amherst Saxophone Quartet Concert Series (NY), Calumet Arts Cafe (NY), Frick Museum's Summer Concert Series (PA), Veronika String Quartet Concert Series (CO); Mallarmé Players Concert Series (Durham, NC); Music-For-A-Great-Space" Concert Series (Greensboro, NC); MusicBox and Folk Research Center (Gros Islet, Saint Lucia, W.I).

The ensemble performs tangos from the standard repertoire as well as new compositions, such as their latest project, The Other Side of My Heart: Stories of Latino Immigrant Women. Each of its arrangements explore a diversity of colors, some of them associated with the traditional tango and other more adventurous, however still keeping the essence of typical tango inflections in a new sound world articulated with meticulous execution.
